General Information

The Delta Air Lines Innovation Award will be given to the student company which has an innovative or effective approach for solving a problem or developing further a product, which has a functional business model and whose idea has a potential to prosper, an international prospect and is easy to implement.

Innovation can be considered a verb – apart from inventing where the outcome is a new idea, the key factor in innovation is the successful implementation of the idea. Our values innovation highly – they strengthen society, make organisations more efficient and enable us to serve customers in the best possible way.

The Criteria

Delta’s Innovation Award is given to a student company which:

  • Has an innovative or effective approach for solving a problem or developing further a product or service
  • Has an idea with a potential to prosper and an international prospect
  • Has an idea that is easy to implement and a functional business model

Nadia Clinton joined Delta Air Lines in November 1995. She is responsible for maximizing Delta’s profitability in the UK market across all segments and overseeing Delta’s growing network in the UK and Ireland. During this period Delta has experienced a total transformation of its business in the UK by cementing strategic joint venture partnerships and its expanded network. Nadia Clinton has spent her career working in the international travel arena and brings over 20 years industry experience to her role at Delta. Her expertise includes: Airline Passenger Sales, distribution policies and commercial joint venture implementation.

Shane M. Spyak

Shane Spyak is the regional leader for Delta Air Lines in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India (EMEAI). Based in Paris, France, he works closely with Delta’s Joint Venture partners Air France – KLM and Virgin Atlantic to improve the alliance’s value proposition, create synergies through integration, and maximise profitability. During his 14 years with Delta, Shane has worked on three continents in roles of increasing responsibility

Manoj Kuriakose

Manoj Kuriakose works in his current position since July 2019. Based in Dubai UAE, Manoj is responsible for driving the strategy and planning for Delta’s joint venture integration with Air France/KLM and Virgin Atlantic for Middle East, Africa & India (MEAI) markets. With 27 years of airline and travel industry experience, Manoj joined Delta Air Lines in 2007 as Commercial Manager, UAE. During his tenure he was successful in building up Delta’s footprint in the Middle East region.
